Brook Lake

Map of Brook Lake

Brook Lake is a very shallow but beautiful lake at the bottom of North Pole Pass, NE of Fox Lake that looks almost unfishable. However, there is a small deep stream channel through the middle of the lake where the fish hang out. This is what gives the lake its name, "Brook, as in small stream, Lake." Cast into or over the top of the channel and the fish will hit. They are all Brookies.

Tiny spinners such as Mepps, Blue Fox, RoosterTail, etc. in sizes 00, 0 or 1 should do the trick, or cast small dry flies or nymphs 6 feet behind a clear plastic bobber (bubble) filled half full of water. Flyfishermen/women will already know what to do. :)
